Transcending Emergency Medical Products
through Advanced Design and Development
We help Government, Small Business, Large Companies, and Corporations in the Emergency Medical Product Industry, develop and bring their medical products into reality. Many times, developers struggle to meet the expectations and practical application of a life-saving device. We can assist your development team with our knowledge from years of experience and practical application in this constantly evolving profession.
Working from a requirements based research and development approach, our knowledgable staff identifies potential issues during the discovery, concept, test & evaluation, and fielding phases for tactical medical devices. This includes products that have been fielded for a complete life-cycle and require modernization to bridge identified gaps. Using our collective skill set, we work with companies and organizations to help develop devices that are needed, and provide a fully-functional capability to the first responder.
We know what it like to provide point-of-injury care in stressful situations. No matter if it is the casualty providing immediate emergency self-aid, or a trained professional providing definitive care, our common sense approach always keeps this aspect in mind. Functionality, ease of use, size/weight, durability and deployment of a device must always be considered when used in emergency and tactical situations. We understand this, taking into account our past medical treatment experiences and lessons learned during the entire development process.
Our staff understands what is needed by the end-user through personal and practical applications. Having been professionally educated, plus years of experience during their tenure of serving multiple functions within the government and civilian sector, some of their combined knowledge includes:
Normally, design and development only keeps one function and capability in mind; however, we approach this ideology a little differently. Knowing the limited space in an emergency response kit, it is better to have one device that serves three functions, than three devices that serve one function. We apply this methodology to all of our development work.
We have worked with many programs, departments and corporations over the years to assist them with design and device development. Our staff's development expertise has been requested and utilized by places, such as: The Army Medical Department, Special Operations Command, Institute for Surgical Research, National Industries for the Blind, Marine Corps Systems Command, Naval Medical Research Unit, Air Force Medical Support Agency, New York Police and Fire Departments, and many others.
Solutions that are simple. We help develop products that are intuitive, easy to use, and rapidly employed. We know that speed and effectiveness are critical during this phase, no matter what the environmental conditions.
Solutions that work every time. When you are trying to save a life, it is not the time to discover that a device only works in real world applications 70% of the time. We make sure the devices we help develop work all the time, every time, on the first application.
Solutions that are reliable and durable. Tactical medical devices have to withstand extreme conditions. Many times, they are put in place and must withstand extreme stress while moving a casualty to transport. We make sure the devices we help develop are built to withstand these extraordinary circumstances.
Keeping in mind that medical products could have to perform specified functions for long periods of time, the device must be effective for the entire duration of use. From point-of-injury, all the way to the operating room, this capability is reflected by testimonials on the devices we have helped to design and develop.
